The Buffalo road Runner's Club (the Buffs) has deservedly earned its reputation as one of the friendliest, most innovative and well organised clubs on the Border.  Our legendry bright club colours are easy to spot and well known ensuring loads of support along the road. The club benefits from one of the most comprehensive "Sunday Run" training schedules which has benefited many novice and experienced runners in achieving Two Oceans, Comrades and Washie 100 Ultra Marathon glory. We welcome all runners irrespective of club or whether you are just visiting our beautiful City to join us. We guarantee you that you will enjoy our hospitality and experience some of our legendary club spirit of fun and comaraderie.

The Club is proud to host the Old Mutual Buffalo Marathon, the Old Mutual Buffalo Trail Run (5km & 10km), the Washie 100 Miler and the Griffen 50 Miler. All Buffs events benefit from excellence in organisation thanks to our committed and enthusiastic club members.

The Buffs Marathon was first run in 1974 and has since been a favourite on the running calendar for local and out of town athletes. The timing of the marathon is also convenient as one of the last qualifiers for theTwo Oceans Ultra Marathon. This year we have added the Buffalo Trial Run to encourage further family participation in this already fun and popular event.

The Griffin 50 Miler was hosted for the first time last year with a number of athletes taking part. This provided a good teaser for the Washie 100 Miler expecially as it is run over the last half and tougher part of the course. Indications are that at least some of last year's runners will be entering the Washie 100 this year.

The Buffalo Road Runners would like to wish each and every athlete a great running year.  May you all achieve your goals, be safe on the roads and above all, enjoy it!

A race concurrently run on the same day with the Buffs Marathon.
